THOMAS LYNCH

Expert in the Theology of Death & Dying  and Noted Author

May 1, 2019 @ St. Paul's, Brighton, 9am-3pm

Thomas Lynch is the author of nine books, including "The Undertaking: Life Studies from the Dismal Trade" and "The Good Funeral: Death, Grief, and the Community of Care" with Preacher and Theologian, Tom Long. Thomas Lynch has worked his entire life to make the business of death, funerals, and grief more authentic and helpful. His work has been the subject of two highly awarded film documentaries for PBS Frontline and the BBC.

LISA CRESSMAN

Founder and Steward of Backstory Preaching

The vision for Backstory Preaching woke Lisa in the middle of the night and she's been trying to keep up with the Holy Spirit ever since. An Episcopal Priest for over 25 years, she is a preacher, spiritual director and retreat leader, as well as a certified Daring Way Facilitator. She is the author of "Backstory Preaching: Integrating Life, Spirituality, and Craft" and "Craft an Effective Sermon by Friday."

DR. AMY-JILL LEVINE

University Professor of New Testament & Jewish Studies, Vanderbilt

October 3, 2018 @ All Saints, East Lansing, MI, 9am-3pm

A self-described Yankee Jewish Feminist, Professor Levine is a member of Congregation Sherith Israel, an Orthodox Synagogue in Nashville, although she is often quite unorthodox. Known for her dynamic teachings and insight into the Jewish foundation of the New Testament, Amy-Jill is a sought-after conference leader. An affiliated professor at Cambridge University, Dr. Levine's most recent volume is "Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi." PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A FREE "Annotated Jewish New Testament Commentary," a $39 value.

CANCELLATION POLICY:​

Cancellations receive a full refund if made one week or more before the event. We regret that we can only provide a 50% refund for cancellations of less than 7 days. Because registrations are transferrable you might consider sharing your registration with a friend, family member, or colleague if you are unable to attend.
